Hi, Can anyone give me some plant ideas....my friends cat has recently died and she's been buried in the garden...wanted to buy her a small flowering shrub to plant on her grave so she has something there to remember her by....nothing big and if possible must be flowering now so that it flowers this time next year.
Thanks for your help everyone. x

Nepeta is a very nice plant, a perennial, purple flowers that last all summer:cat-kittyandsmiley:I am sure your friends cat would be happy. We once has a Chinchilla, called Desi, when she died we buried her in the garden, and on her grave we planted her food, and some of the seeds sprouted, and made a lovely tribute.

A nice rose with a lovely scent. Depending on what you get, they can flower from late spring through to October.

My grandad used to plant a rose bush in his garden each time a family pet died :wub2:

What was the cats name? There might be a plant with the same name.

I have a small Mutabilis and they are beautiful, but no scent. This is mine which is still flowering (the bees love it) ...

Others I would recommend which have a strong scent and which are all flowering at the moment are ...

Jude the Obscure (it has the strongest scent out of any of mine).

    Lady Emma Hamilton

Gertrude Jekyll (which is quite upright and can be grown as a climber as well).

    Sceptre'd Isle ...

All of these have a strong fragrance and are repeat flowering :)
