    I am currently in Funchal in Madeira and came across this plant in one of the public parks .Can anyone identify it please ? ( sorry not a very clear photo )

      Has the look of a Salvia, but not sure which one. Try S. leucantha

        Yep, salvia leucantha. I grow a few clumps of it here; although tender it is reasonably hardy here. Makes large beautiful plants from mid summer well into autumn. A real eye catcher :)

          @martyn bromley thanks for the photo and @Palustris for the ID :dbgrtmb: - Ive overwinter a pot of this that i bought in Wyevale garden center at the end of the year bargain bucket sale. Due to pot it on to make a bigger plant, so will hope it will look like that in the future :fingers crossed:
