There's no doubt that there are many charlatans out there that are looking for mugs to help swell their coffers but it's just the fact that the internet has helped make it appear so prolific. As with everything else on the internet, you need to use some judgement and common sense. The legal term Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware) still applies as the Sale of Goods Act can be circumvented by cleverly worded advertisements.

This doesn't detract from the fact that there are a lot of things out there, that you may not have heard about, that are good for you.

I'm similar to Sheal in the fact that a lot of modern medicines give me allergic reactions whereas some of the situations can be helped by more 'natural' methods. Finding the right ones can be a problem of 'sifting the wheat from the chaff'.
