Plant (or weed) i.d. please

    Just wondered if anybody knows what this is? There's a few of them growing in a bed I've just cleared, I did sow some wildflower seeds there the year before last, but I thought they were annuals. It's just about to flower. Thanks.

    Looks to me like Salad Burnet or Sanguisorba minor
    Wildflower, weed or herb according to how much you have and if you want it.
    Beware it does self seed
    The leaves do smell of cucumber but tend to be bitter also and hairy

    Salad burnet is nice in salad, in small quantities. I have a couple of plants in a large pot.
