Hi there I am planting some hanging bags with busy lizzies do i put the plants in from the front or back? I have planted one by putting in plant from the back but difficult not to break them! In from the back I mean putting hand down the bag and pushing plant through slot,is there an easier way???
    Thanks in advance

Hi sueshi. Basically you fill the bag to the level of the hole and then push the roots through from the outside. You can gently shape the roots with your hand to fit into the hole before slotting them in but be careful. Hope this helps!

Hello Sueshi , as catztail says , I place my BL's from the outside. You can mold the roots into a round shape to help , its hard to hurt BL's they are a tough little plant. I also find making the hole slits a little larger helps. Fill the bag with compost , slow release fertiliser and water gel first. Firm up the compost and then make it into a flattened sausage shape, and start planting from the bottom slit .I also place a short length of 1" PVC pipe to go half to two thirds down the bag. Its only cheap, lasts for years , and this helps with the watering . Lie the bag flat after planting for a couple of weeks to let the roots form a little. You're BL bags will bloom in even the shadiest of spots -:dbgrtmb:
