    Hello,

I've been growing Heartsease in an unheated propagator on a windowsill for five weeks now, is it time to move them on to bigger pots? They're still growing well enough.

    Thanks :)

Hi Zesty, I'm only a beginner but if they were mine I would be potting them on.
I've never heard of Heartease so I'm gonna look them up on the internet now.

Are they pansies? They look very similar to the pansies that I grew from seed in a similar fashion to you - I potted mine on into plastic cups (cheap solution for me, as I needed a few hundred wee pots quite quickly, but was skint!) - they have been in their cups for a few weeks now, and are on the shelves in the polytunnel waiting for the weather to improve so they can be planted out.

Ah yes, they look like pansies/violas, quite nice. They look quite tender though so watch out for frost if you put them outside. I've got a few bits of frost damage around.

Thanks all. I wouldn't put them outside just yet - I will put them in seed trays with less cells
