I have a wall at the edge of the patio with an approx 2inch gap about 6inch deep between the raised patio s;abs and the retaining wall going down to the rest of the garden.

I have thought of filling the gap with soil and planting something in here but I am not sure what.

The gap is north facing so if they are low plants they will be in the shade but if they get a little bigger they will get sun as the wall is only about a foot tall.

    Any ideas??
