Martin, have fun with them. :)
My conifers are in orthodox columns, domes, mounds and cones. However, a taxus fastigiata...the Irish Yew......is meant to be trained as a comical human character; the arms to support a hoe or something. All to add a laugh to the garden :)

Friend of mine gave me a small pot of Kalanchoe tubiflora. This is the Madagascan species that forms plantlets on its leaves, which drop off to form new plants.
I stupidly put it in my greenhouse. My entire cactus collection has been taken over by them. And the problem is, as I chop them off, the plantlets drop off the leaves and just start more plants elsewhere.

Here's something I regret planting, but not for the usual reasons! Last summer I picked up a pack of ten tulip bulbs whilst in Amsterdam. Planted them in a deep pot, wondering if any of them would come up. To my delight all ten did. Took the mesh off the top of the pot on Thursday as the shoots were touching it. When I went out into the garden this morning I found the following crime had been committed.

My mum says it will have been squirrels. I think it was this one....

@Gail_68 That must have been so frustrating! A squirrel once stole a chocolate bar from my husband in the Glasgow Botanic Gardens. Ran up a tree and sat tearing the wrapping off. My poor husband could only pick up the shredded wrapping and pt it in the bin. The squirrel ate the whole bar whilst watching him.....

Grey Squirrels should NOT be released back into the wild, it's against the law! They should be destroyed humanely. They are an introduced species that have had an almost catastrophic impact on our native Red Squirrel, I shoot them as that is deemed humane. Hate the tree rats! Love our native Reds (Tuftys).

I'm neutral in the matter, Vince. But I think that it's a very high "Ask" to convince or force a person who wishes no harm to any creature to kill, however humanely, trapped Squirrels.:dunno::coffee:
