Hiya, I've been growing my own little forest in doors for a while and found a beautiful plant/weed growing on my friends patio, I up rooted it and am currently propagating it in some water, I don't want to plant it until I know what it is so I can look after it properly. If anyone could shed some light I would be extremely grateful 20190511_005502.jpg 20190511_005518.jpg 20190511_005502.jpg 20190511_005446.jpg 20190511_005518.jpg

Hi @PlantDaddy ..it's a Houttuynia cordata...aka orange peel plant...you maybe have guessed by the scent of the foliage...it can run riot outdoors but if it's indoors in a pot it'll be fine.If I understand right it prefers a damp semi shaded position.

Yes indeed....don’t plant it out in your garden Plant Daddy.
I grow it in a pool and in a pot in the garden. Every piece of root forms a plant. It’s bindweed on steroids :love30::love30::love30:
It will thrive in sand, in water ...anywhere.

Thanks for all the advice! Been researching it and turns out it's a herb! I'm always looking for interesting new stuff to cook with and I think I've found my next food project :dbgrtmb:
