Please ID these two plants

    Ignore the poppy growing through it at the front. I'm trying to ID the purple headed flower with almost thistle-like leaves (although they are soft).

    Also, the following:

    It's the large blue/purple one with repeats behind it.

    The first is some form of ornamental thistle and the second is Agupanthus of some species.

    You have there Echinops ritro and Agapanthus orientalis.

      I agree with scillonian that the first is Echinops and the second Agapanthus.
