Hi im Nikayla and Ive just registered as I have a problem.
I grow curry leaf trees in the uk as a hobby, These are only baby trees atm but as i dont use them for cooking i give them as pressies to my friends and family.Any way i was just selecting a few to give my friends as valentine gifts when i noticed that the under leaf of most of the 6 month old trees are discoloured.
Ive taken a picture which i hope shows you what i see.
Im not sure what it is but i cant see any bugs- i spray them all every 3 weeks with soapy water.
Im in 2 minds whether to give them as gifts as im not sure if the plants are healthy.
Im hoping you guys can help me
    thx :)

Good evening Nikayla and welcome to the site.:dbgrtmb:. It looks like what is called a physiological disease, to me. That is, a problem caused by the wrong temperature or wrong watering regimen. Have they been in a cold draught by any chance?

    Hi daitheplant thx for response.

Yes i moved them just before Christmas from underneath the kitchen lights to above the kitchen walled units to have some space for christmas food/drink.
Would lighting be a factor as well ?
Also do you think the leaves will change back ?
I have purchased heaters for my chillis so looks like ill have to buy heaters for my curry leaf tree plants.

So its not an actual disease that will kill the plant ? and i should be fine to give them as gifts ?

    Sorry for all the questions.

    Nikayla

The spots wont disappear Nikayla but they are only cosmetics, nothing fatal. I would say it was more a slight temperature drop than a light thing.:dbgrtmb:

      Hi,
I have just read your posting on Curry leaf plants, can you tell me how you grow your curry leaf plants, is it from seeds or cuttings ?
If it is from seeds, where do you get your seeds from ?
      Thank you

Hello mint, as that thread was back in 2012, perhaps the OP is no longer around? I have a friend locally who grows lots of Murraya koenigii so if you like, I'll ask her if she's got some fresh, viable seed to spare. Watch this space!
