Is he going for a wee all of the time and not doing much, or is he having accidents in the house?

It's best if you took him to the vets and get him checked out. One of ours had a UTI and he wouldn't settle and wanting to have a wee all the time but didn't do a lot. You will have to get a urine sample, when he goes to have a wee quickly put a bowl underneath to catch it. With the humping that's a dominant behaviour, all the best Logan.

Animals are susceptble to UTI's just as we are. The most common is cystitis. This condition can cause blood to appear in the urine. Whatever, the best advice is consult a vet. A homeopathic remedy (medicine) 'Cantharis' is really most useful. Homeopathy treats animals and humans.

Many thanks for your replys we got rocco from a breeder approx 2019 and we learned not only he is kc reg but had 147 puppy's. in the time we have had him we took him to vets about that he doesn't seem to settle down to dog nap he will sleep eg on floor. Then gets up onto sofa. Then back to floor. Etc but he has done this all the time so there was no real advice from vets so it could be behaviour or just the breed.
Since 2019 again we noticed he was doing his business in doors all though we take him out for walks at first we was takening him out 1 hr x 3 times a day vets said that's too much a frenchie needs 3 x 20 minute walks a day but still wee. Poop in the night and the vets knows.
With the air humping it's mostly me he does in front of especially if he is having a cuddle and he is on his hind legs and sprays on the floor
With the issue on him rubbing the tip of his private area it was the first time I saw him do it so I search www and it said uti.
When we took him to the vets last year over his behaviour as he does seem to push his face to the ground and push and wriggle which can cause infection around his stubby hair around his jaw. But too rocco it seems to be a game.
When we take him out onto grass he seems to find cat poop and starts to eat it yuck.
When people see us with him they ask about mateing him with there dog we are reluctant really as its unfair on him. We did get advice about having him snipped. Vets said yes. Schooling for dogs said no as it can make him aggressive. So we try and avoid other dogs but not completely but he still trys to mount not only female but male dogs as well
I will contact vets today for advice over his possible uti.

Thanks for the help and advice

Good luck at the vets. We've always had male dogs and they're intact, for us having the snip isn't a option and it doesn't help with behaviour problems like they say.
Our dogs don't sleep in the same place all the time, they move around.
Sounds to me that he wasn't house trained or he lived outside.
My advice would be to start over as if he was a puppy. When he wakes take him out in garden and wait until he's toileted praise him and wait to see if he wants to do anything else. After he's eaten and after he's been playing You could try and train him to go into a crate/cage of a night but some of ours wouldn't go in, it will take time but don't punish him when he does it inside
I haven't watched this so don't know what it's like.

Thanks for your reply when we got him he was with a female dog of the same breed behind a baby gate in the kitchen. He does go to the toilet outside but all so indoors over night.
Good job we have no carpet.. We did try cage training but he was getting upset through the night.and drinks in the night
With the currant issue of covid about we got a phone appointment with cost of £41. As they said your not allowed in to see vet. We have been watching him drink and all though he has a good drink about 10 minutes later he is at his water bowl again but this is not all the time.. Thanks

Glad that you got a appointment at the vet and tell us all know how you got on.
It's difficult to try and train them to go into a cage, what you have to do is put his food in there but that's up to you.
Do you take him out before you go to bed?

Many thanks for your reply I spoke to vets over phone this morning. They said that they cannot rule out uti but they also said don't collect wee sample as what happens is that when a wee sample is collected by the owner is that possible bugs from the dogs sheath will end up in the wee. The only way to collect a sample is straight from the bladder and they don't want to put rocco through that at the moment instead he will be going onto metacam for 5 days to see if it helps. As the issue of rocco rubbing him self started yesterday they are not really concerned they said it sounds like he is playing with his self?

Ok thanks for letting us all know and see how he goes on. If it was a UTI i would have thought that they'd would have put him on antibiotics, but see how he goes on and thanks.

Thanks for your reply we gave him the meds as instructed he was sick but not sure if it was the meds or not all through metacam can make them sick. Yesterday he did eat his biscuits not sure if he smells the meds on his biscuits. We put fresh food out with meds today and see what happens but I will keep my eye on him.

The metacam shouldn't make him sick, I've used it on ours a lot over the years. Have a look at the instructions to see and if it does it would be best to let your vet know this or perhaps talk to them over the phone.

Thanks for your reply. According to the bottle it can make him sick. Rocco has been sick 3 more times this morning. What he is bringing ip is liquid same colour as metacam. So I have stopped it and will contact the vet tomorrow morning
