I've noticed some of you manage to create posts containing a large number of photos on here.

Whenever I've tried this, I'm limited to a maximum of six photos per post, so how do you get more than six photos in one post? :dunno:

Possibly by using an image hosting site and posting links to that. @Trunky have you checked the posts with 6+ pics as to whether they are uploaded pics or IMG tagged links?

          Thanks Scrungee and Woo. :dbgrtmb:

Still got my old photobucket account, although I haven't used it for a long time. Will give that a try and see what happens.

P.S. Just a guess, but are you trying to post your 6+ images as large files?

I used to use photobucket, where I couldn't upload more than six, but stopped doing that last year when I found that I could upload twelve using the 'Upload a File' directly from my photo files on my computer - and it was slightly quicker.

I changed to 'drag and drop' when someone on here said that was possible. I don't remember there being any limit but I don't think I've tried to find out. so I'm going to try 12 now!

              P1090215.JPG P1090207.JPG P1090198.JPG P1090205.JPG P1090204.JPG P1090208.JPG P1090209.JPG P1090202.JPG P1090206.JPG P1090200.JPG P1090217.JPG

I dragged 12 images across, it took 9 minutes to download (we have slow internet) and it only did 11 - but didn't report it couldn't do one of them.

So I dragged the twelfth separately - with no problem.
              P1090220.JPG

              So let's try a thirteenth.

Came up with a report that said there's a limit of twelve images.

I don't know whether there's a limit on the size of the files uploaded. All my photos are 1.5 MB and they didn't need to be resized.

The only disadvantage that I see with drag and drop is that I can't see the progress of the upload. All I get is the little scrolling bar at the top righthand side of the screen. Nothing of the images appears until it has downloaded everything. Whereas using the 'Upload a File' shows the green scroll bar for each image.

I think the amount of pictures that can be posted is dependent on the personal points score which in turn is determined by amount of posts made by the person in question. I'm not certain of this though, so perhaps @ARMANDII can answer the question for us please. :)

I think we all have the same number of points, Sheal:snork:. Things have got better with the updates to the software and I think, depending on how much data is on the images, you can get around a maximum of 18 images in one post before you have to make a new post for further images.:coffee::snork:

Just as a matter of interest, I use Photobucket and copy and paste my pics as it's, for me, quicker. :coffee::snork:
