    Hi,
I planted these potatoes around beginning of may i was wondering when they could be ready for harvest. They have started to flower now but the vines are still pretty healthy.

I'm going to keep an eye on this post as I'd like to try growing potatoes. Are they in a compost sack or the ground?

I think I will do that. Can I start now or is it too late?

I think I'd wait a bit, I have some similar, but then I prefer to get a crop of decent sized spuds.
Some people just want to get some early new ones..
The recent wet weather here has made the tops grow like crazy, I have a feeling there is not much under neath yet.

Today I've had to drive in timber stakes around my potato patch with a sledgehammer and fix ropes around the perimeter to prevent them flopping.

Provided you can find seed potatoes there is still time to get a good crop.

@Verygreen some people grow new potatoes for Christmas dinner by planting in August in bags.

Mine have totally flopped, but I've managed to bundle them all up in some sort of mass of green. Last year they flopped and I dug them up then, so holding out until they start to actually die back.

Next year I am planning to have a bed specifically for Christmas Dinner, so I want to get potatoes just right!
