The subject matter has been discussed here but what the media never seemd to ask was HOW his so called video was obtained by someone else and why that felt they needed to sell it to the gutter press, particularly as they were 'all mates'. Probably money before loyalty.:(

I see Charlie, his "Uncle", has now "put his foot in it" also.

I'm sure its Gordon Brown allowing it all to leak out, it takes the emphasis of the economy.

Great thread. Love the "knockabout" comments.:thumb: Really interesting that you can chat about anything with like-minded people but would be ashamed to discuss them with anyone else.
What sort of people do you knock about with?
As regards the original question, read Kiplings (he doesn't only make cakes:D) "Tommy". Tells you all you need to know about soldiers. :)

Folically or vertically challenged? Nah...bald or short will do, parts of the English language we where all taught at school. The very same schools that had "Black boards", they are still black so I wont be calling them "Chalkboards" anytime soon either.

Political correctness has not got out of hand, it always has been period and I will continue to use the English language, as taught to me by my peers regardless of whoever it upsets, I care not a jot.

The day that someone from Finland is not referred to as a "Finn" or a Scottish person a "Scot" and the day that "Brit" is no longer used is the day I may consider changing my ways and the native tongue that I have used since I learned to talk.

I must stress at this point, I'm not racist in any way and can count amongst my friends members of many nationalities, I socialised freely with Indians when I lived in the Bucks/Berks area and applaud their community spirit, I even at one point in one job willingly covered for a colleague who had to pray at certain times during the day. But I will never change my language, stop being English or be "careful" of what I say untill ALL racist or so called PC comments are frowned upon, this will of course NEVER happen.

I do have and exercise respect, I wont call an African a "ni***r", that is racist but a Pakistani is and always will be a Paki, a scot a scot and a finn a finn.

Getting back to Harry, did he not use the words, "Our Paki friend" is the word "Friend" now lost in its context? How the blinking flip can someone be upset at this comment?

Personally, I hope others jump on the bandwagon and finally show how out of sync this Political correctness thing is and either campaign for FULL correctness ie no more Scots, Finns, Brits or Aussies or they continue to use the word Paki, I know I will. I'll continue to use the English language as taught, respectfully.

    Steve...:)
