    Went out shopping today,called in an ex army sales place where we picked up this..prism/optical,not sure what army vehicle is as been used in but its given a great display of colours and laser pen display :)it has been attatched to something in the past and is quite big,bargain i thought for a tenner :biggrin: any body know what it was used for originally ? thanks xx

    Is it for peering over something or is that a periscope. Might make a nice lamp.
    Tank maybe?

        Wonderful things prisms :blue thumb:
        The FV562285 number looks very new and clear , when I worked at Leyland Motors an FV part was for military components . Could be part of a periscope as Hans said or a gun sight ?

          You cant see from the photo but on the bottom base looking from outside in, there is another number written in pencil...FV500664 AVL so im wondering if its been recycled at some point or the metal base has :)
