    Can anyone identify the attached photos please. It has appeared early spring where I had asters planted but unsure if its a coincidence as I'm thinking it's a weed!!

    Well I thought Aster when I saw it, before I read it all, but could be wrong

      Oh really! I've pulled it all up in one area as thought it was a weed before it occurred to me that both areas are where the asters are! Didn't realise it spread so rapidly as the aster was tall but this is low ground cover. Should I leave as is then?

      I would say Aster too. It may be low now but will grow taller during the summer since they don't flower until the autumn. Mine are the same.

        Well I would leave it alone, you could get a better ID when its grown a bit.
