As some of you have noticed, there have been some 'Database errors' recently, these problems are only occurring between 00:00 and 00:15 , this is when the host (Titan) does a backup every night.

Now for one reason or another, this has only happened for the last 4 nights.

There is nothing wrong with GC, but I am in conversation with Titan to see if there is a way that the problems can be got round, without them withdrawing the backup they do every night.

Please bear with me, I will not know if the problem has been sorted out until just after midnight tonight :) .

    Many thanks

    Nathan.

    Still occurring.

Backup is of course important, but a warning a few minutes before they take the site down, would be helpful. Then at least you can finish what your doing and go have a cup of tea, or stronger until its done. :)

Its caught me several times. But if you are in the middle of something - you can cut and paste to another document such as Word and save it. Then retrieve it and use later.

Peter, when I right click on the mouse there is no option to 'cut' or 'copy'.

You did highlight it first, before you tried to copy it I presume?

Yes, I highlighted it first. All the right click shows is:-
Back, Forward, Select All, Paste, Add Bookmark, View Source, Print, Refresh, and Properties.

If I highlight anything that has already been posted and then right click I get all the usual 'Cut' Copy' 'Paste' etc but not when I highlight a message I am typing.

    How very strange.

Have you tried, select all and then tried to copy it?

Shiney - when you right click it is showing you the options you get on a 'normal' web page. If you hold down the Ctrl key and press C it will copy and if you hold down the Ctrl key and press V it will paste or you could use copy and paste from the Edit menu at the very top of the screen.

I have to be honest. If I am posting instructions or a longer than normal post, then I use a text doc on my puter and then copy and paste onto a forum.
