Profile question

I've finally got round to making use of my User CP Profile. I've entered my details but next to or under each one their is a box with 'Edit Value' in it. Can you tell me what this is please?

Thanks for the info Aesculus, I was a bit worried I'd done something wrong. Computers and I have a love hate relationship!

 

Er ... is 'Urectum' a proper location for a moderator, Aesculus? Won't it be a little awkward, should you have to reprimand a forum member who tells another exactly where he can stick his pelargonium?

I'm a big fan of Futurama but in this instance I think you'd be better off with the original butt (!!) of the joke, Uranus. It offers the possibility that any lewd inference is in the mind of the reader rather than the originator, whereas 'Urectum' doesn't. :D
