Sorry not been posting, Project X finished and just had bumper crop of veggies over last few months. Project Y (top of the garden) started back in February 2019 but couldn’t get my digger driver available until April so had time to put up a new fence, make new gates, plant Laurel and lots of burning of hedges!

Project Y is the biggie. Large summerhouse 27m2 for the grown ups and a 7m2 summerhouse for the kids. Oh, and lots of decking with a view to die for across the valley. First job was to get the top of the garden (70ft wide) level before building the terrace and backfilling tonnes and tonnes of soil!

Managed to break the back of this around the end of June ready to start on the ‘baby’ summerhouse. The raised terrace still needs some more drystone walling and more decking joists put in but well on track. As soon as the small summerhouse is built, Ill get back to finishing it off and put foundations in. The terrace is 10.5m long and 6.6m deep! Or will be with the main summerhouse at the back of the terrace which leaves loads of room for decking (and hence no grass cutting!).

    Cheers
