    Hi all
Anyone got any spare Purple Loosestrife and/or yellow flag iris , bulrushes.

I want to plant up the little brook by my beehives so need tough stuff to survive plus good for wildlife, the guy who owns the 5 acre's used to have pet pigs so everything has been eaten.

Lots to swap , daylily , agapanthus or happy to pay P&P

    Spruce

I have them all, Spruce.:snork: I was just looking at them down by the pond over the weekend thinking that they had got to be divided and taken out and the unwanted lot thrown on the Compost heap once they'd laid by the side of the pond so that the bugs could go back into the pond. I also have some other stuff like Bowles Golden Grass which grows alongside the Loosestrife etc, plus Yellow Loose Strife etc.:yay:

I did something very similar. When I first bought my piece of land off my dad, I bought three young honeysuckle plants to plant up there to start off my wildflower/bumblebee eco project. We got to the land, my dad with us, and I got these young honeysuckles out of the car, and my dad laughed. I asked him what he was laughing at and he just said come with me. We wandered about and he kept pointing at things on the land. Is that honeysuckle he kept asking, as he pointed to wild honeysuckle plants so mature their stems were over an inch thick.
