When we visited our daughter early last year we saw this plant when we went around a park.I took a photo of it and when we got home I went to our garden center to identify it.I the bought a plant and planted it but it is still the same as when I planted it.Would that be normal. The variety I believe is Boulevard.Any info would be appreciated.

Hiya Paul....Boulevard is a lovely conifer. No longer here but for many years it was a favourite.
Couple of points.....it is a slow grower esp in the first year or two. Secondly it needs soil that won’t dry out too much so a mulch every year or so will benefit it. However, problem free and easy if you watch the watering
A tactile conifer too ...nice soft foliage and the colour is great. Hmmm! Might get another now:)

I used to have a nice one some years ago, slow growing, and interesting colouration.

Maybe yours needs to establish, it was dry last summer.

Mulch now Paul. :).good time. Soil is moist.
You can mulch at any time but spring is best I think
Mulching Boulevard will help retain moisture it needs during the summer:)
