Hi i have some marigold seedlings in greenhouse however the first leaves are turning brown and look abit scorched is this right? the true leaves look ok. Also i have two acers that were damaged last year by the wind so i put them in a sheltered place but now i want to move them can i now even though they have buds on? And one last question i have seedlings of cornflower, alyssum, californian poppies, cosmos, marigolds, and lupins when can they go outside. Any help would be great thanks

    Hi Natty,

The greatest peril for the seedlings are the slugs, I have mine in modules and am beginning to harden them off. even then, for a while I will keep them in the modules till they are big enough to fight off the slugs. As far as the marigolds are concerned just make sure they are not too wet or too dry and if possible water in the evening-they may be getting a touch scorched through the glass if there is water on the leaves.

As far as moving other plants, now would be good time-when the soil really begins to warm up they will get away again.

Hi Natty, I think you have too many questions there,
Nobody is an expert on everything.
I think if you break your questions up, and ask all the questions separately, you will get better answers.
