    Hi,

Just had a delivery of some Polka Autumn fruiting raspberries from James McIntrye and have to say they are superb quality with very quick delivery and stout packaging.

Now looking for some new Summer fruiting raspberries and Glen Ample seems the firm favourite, but James McInTyre are doing Glen Doll which they reckon is even better.

Has anyone grown or tasted Glen Doll or suggest something even better ?

Can't help you on the Summer variety's all I can say is they are pruned differently, I didn't fancy growing summer varietys because the increased chance of maggots being in the fruit:eeew:.

Maybe you could double crop your Autumn variety's ? cut half of the stems to the ground and leave the other half but just prune them by half, the stems which are half pruned will fruit earlier than the rest of the plant and fruit again later on.
