:yikes: I had a shock today. You know the Americans get these payments from the American Government because of the Covid "Hard Times". Well, T'other Half gets them because he is American but he pays no tax there on his Pension but I don't because I am not. Fair Dinkums you say ... but I pay about $1,300 a year on my Pension because I am not!!!

Well, as Biden is now in charge I got a cheque today for $1,400 BECAUSE I pay tax there. T'other Half got his also.

:love30::love30::love30::love30::love30: Thank you very much, Mr Biden ... what plants / pots shall I buy.

I hasten to add I shall give some of it to Charity. We have already given 1,000 Euros to those less fortunate than us in these difficult times, plus extra for the Cat Charity we support.

It certainly was! They take 25% out of my Pension monthly.. If I lived in the UK it would only be 10% as there is an agreement, also with Germany. Coincidentally, we owe 1,400 Euros for last years tax here so that wipes one cheque out!
          :rolleyespink: Perfect timing.

In today's post I got the letter from The White House "signed" by Biden saying Dear Fellow American ... telling me I will be getting my check soon. T'other Half had his letter a week last week, hence my surprise at getting one.

A very welcome email from EDF Energy today.
As from 13 October they will be reducing my monthly payment from £250 per month to £131 per month so I have obviously been saving towards the Winter price increase. A goodly chunk of £££s back in my pocket,
