I too would like to get a decent one of these as I find it quite a tedious task and always feel like I should be doing something creative in the garden instead! :heehee: Didn't you get quite a good one recently, @Fat Controller?

I simply couldn't do it with a brush - I tried, managed one coat on four panels and the pain was just too much.

Be careful with the choice of paint with it though - even the basic £8 a tub Wickes stuff needed watering down, but even then it still coated well enough.

I have a new fence that I have 'designs' on (not yet started!) and did some research about paint sprayers etc. I decided on the Cuprinol Garden Shade and Brush which has great reviews and seems to produce the best finished results. As I say, I haven't started using it yet, so I guess I can't really 'recommend' it as such, but maybe something for you to look at :)?

                Hi @wiseowl ,

Can we ask which brand of fence paint did you use and what percentage of water did you have to use ?

                Hi @Fat Controller,

Can we ask the same of you, which of the Wickes paints did you use, their Fence or Garden ones and again what percentage of water was needed ?
Have you used any other brands than Wickes ?

Just enquiring for a neighbour who has got to do both sides of about 20 panels !
Well worth the £50 cost of the sprayer if you can do them so quickly.
Being a diluted spray do you have to do two or more coats ?

                thanks

I used Wickes own brand, basic £8 a tub - Wickes Shed & Fence Timbercare Silver Pebble 9L | Wickes.co.uk

I had to add around a litre to the 9 already in the tub or the nozzle on my gun would block, so essentially it was working out at 80p a litre. Four tubs all in did my entire garden and there is LOT of fence panels

I've been trying to get an answer to this question ever since I puchased a Wagner sprayer - can I use normal Cuprinol instead of the sprayable version?

The sheds had better look out now...
