Hi all, what a lovely sunshiney day today!!!

    A question or two

the large tree fern I bought from the nursery in Bedford is only in a small pot, and can do with re-potting.

Firstly, what is the best compost to use and secondly, is it ok to do now or wait until spring??

    Cheers all,
    al.

Al , if you overwintering indoor , try to keep the leaves alive , will help to have a quick and bigger shoot of new leaves next year and remember don`t let it dry ...expecially the crown , keep it always wet.

Thanks sal, unfortunately it's too big and heavy to pull in and out of the garage, and it's too big for indoors so it'll have to be outside. Bought lots of fleece for the expensive and less hardy plants.

I may bring mine inside..... it's decided to throw up new fronds. It needs a new pot as well but that can wait I think. It's going to take some serious shifting of other stuff if I do it. Hubby will probably NOT be happy. Anyone want a used git????
