    I believe there are a few members here who are a little past their teens [​IMG] Would anyone like to post a few things that bring back memories...of course I can't remember these...I just remember my great grandad talking of them ;)

    sweets like

    spangles, blackjacks, fruit salad, midget jems, palma violets, lucky bags, sweet tobacco, bazooka joe, potato puff crisps

    coal house, outhouse, proper dustbin men that picked your metal bin full of coal ashes up over their shoulder from halfway down your back yard

    watch with mother, noel gordons lunchbox, ford anglias, phones you stuck your finger in and dialled,

    any more? ...........

    shrimps,4 for a penny,refreshers,sherbert dips,jamboree bags,imps?All from the little post office that sold paraffin.

    Corona fizzy drink in bottle with a strange top that flipped off and just hung there on a wire!
    The shrimp man that came round on a bike with a box on front. You took your bowl to him and bought shrimps by the pint for tea!

    Real ginger beer in dark brown, nobbly bottles with a funny nipped neck and a crown topper.
    Woodman that brought logs for the fire round on his horse and cart and being allowed to 'drive' it when I was only seven!
