rescued 5 ducklings

Hi All

I came in this afternoon I thought I could hear ducklings calling , which is not strange to me as a lot of you know I have a river at the bottom of the garden so I opened the gate leading on to the river and Mum mallard quacking and then I realized all the ducklings (5)where trapped in next door garden, I left it a hour as waiting for them to come home then decided I couldnt stand the noise of the ducklings calling and then the mother quacking from the river , plus the Raven had spotted them and I saved them twice from being eaten !!! so I thought I dont care , climbed over the fence put a box in the corner and corralled them in , in they went ist time.

Came back round to mine realeased the babies on the side of the river bank a couple of quacks from the mother all babies jumped into the river with her

Spruce can now relax ,

Well done Spruce although me being me wouldn't have waited the hour,I would have pushed Mr Kandy straight over the fence to rescue them

I was so pleased to see them all swim off with the mum

 

I did want to go over straight away but , they are funny burgers ...... but I coudnt take it no more when I saw Raven no 2 sitting on my roof checking them all out !!!

thank you , yes a great feeling .... one of many things I have rescued over the years , I just cant walk away .... even if miles from home I have to do something otherwise I just think what may of happened
