                It's usually difficult to get close to moorhens but these were in a stream running through a busy holiday park so are very used to people. I did get pecked by the mother as I tried an even closer shot :dbgrtmb:

                    Well done JWK lovely photo. I had a similar idea re taking a photo of birds. I,with great excitement decided to try and take a photo with my IPad of 5 fat swallow babies just about to fledge. The nest is in the stables. Hmmm well you can see why I did not put my effort forward for judging:roflol:. This is the best of 5 attempts. Photography and I are not a match made in heaven.

                      Keep trying @hailbopp it's a question of luck too as baby birds are so fast, most of my photos were blurred with them constantly moving and looking about.
