    I would lean towards a rhodie. If an azalea were to have a similar type of bloom, it would be rare and would maybe end up being deciduous and native to the U.S. But sorry, no idea what the variety is as there are so many whites that it becomes a blurrrrrrr. :):):)

      Hmm! Rhododendrons.
      I thought I had it sorted but now not sure.

      All Azaleas are technically/botanically Rhododendrons. But not all Rhododendrons are azaleas!

      There are named species as well as named hybrids and cultivars.
      This is just a suggestion..based on the leaves, pink buds,shape of flowers.
      Maybe Rhododendron hybrid Cunningham's White????
      Grows huge.
