RIP Liz Dawn aka Vera Duckworth

    Sad news today with the passing of Liz Dawn aged 77.

    She was a lovely lady ( I can actually say that from personal experience having met her a few times way back ), who tirelessly battled with Chronic Lung Disease and made a huge difference with her charity work.

    Farewell to a lady who always stayed grounded and never let fame affect her.

      Aye, it is sad indeed - Liz and Bill both always came across as the most lovely, genuine people, completely unaffected by their fame. Sadly, I think her lung disease was a product of her time - fags galore for the most part, working or not.
