ripening onions

    can anyone advise,
    My onions are really late this year,and with a local show looming is there anyway that I can speed up the ripening process they are at the moment still green and growing they were seed onions started in Jan this year, the show is about four weeks away :what:

    Bend over the top and use a fork to lift them and just leave alone for a wek , or dig up and put in greenhouse to ripen

    So sorry not to have replied, had to travel away from home for a while.
    The show is 27/08. the criteria as for as I know is to show three onions as near as poss the same size these should I imagine be ripe with proper brown skins, as you have probable relised by now I am I beginer to the show bench. Once again sorry for the late reply.
