I think they are still one of Britain's favourite birds. I was reading a gardening magazine a couple of weeks back and somebody had written they are very partial to mince pies. :)

I have at least two in the garden and for the last two weeks I've been moving pots, planting lots of Tulips, Daffs in the pots and the borders and they're always flitting around with a foot or two of me waiting for the odd worm or two:heehee:

Nice piccies. Thanks for sharing. If you want a visit from a Robin. Stick your fork in the ground and watch. The fork is like a magnet to them. Ah! fork. Fork =worms. Yummy.

They're partial to almost any food :heehee:

For the last 20 or 30 years we've been lucky enough to have at least three families of robins in the garden (it's a big garden) and they never seem to squabble when they're around the bird feeder. The rest of the time they're quite territorial.

We only have 1 Robin in the garden and it chases the Goldfinches, Blue and Coal Tits away from the feeder but retreats when 15/20 Starlings arrive.

I can vouch they love mince pies, trouble is so do the blackbirds, magpies and starlings.
