my lottie neighbour had a heart attack at his plot last weekend - despite cpr from my neighbour the other side he didnt make it

he was a good neighbour and friend and i have spent many a happy hour with him - i used to let him share my shed til he got his own sorted

the tenants are all in a bit of shock as he looked so fit and well

he shared his knowledge, tools, jokes and would always help others - he helped me edge my plot and played tricks on me

his potatoes and onions are in and his plot dug over and pristine - i will miss him loads

funeral on monday 26th - i think the whole village will be there

So sorry to hear that loopy. Condolences to his family & friends. Try and take comfort in the fact that at least he had something he really enjoyed and was obviously loved by a lot of people. Sounds trite but there are so many that don't have that.

    regards

Sorry to hear about that. My neighbor across the road died a few weeks ago from a heart attack. She was 90 years old, but none of us expected her to go yet. She was always very nice and helpful. It's always a shock when somebody you know and like dies suddenly. :(

Oh Loopy that is so sad to hear. What a shock for everyone at the allotments and his poor family. I hope you can think of the good times with him too.
I have just lost a friend, cremation next week on my birthday.

:( Oh dear!...how very upsetting for you. Take comfort that you had made a friend who will give you great memories and are proud to talk of him...A man who could dig as my Gramp could and known as "A Chain a day man". (Gloucestershire speak:))

Loopy, I'm so sorry for the loss of your very good friend.

I have lost two people that were special to me in a very sudden way, and I have to say that although you never lose the feelings of sadness, you learn to deal with them better as each day passes. It is definitely the shock that makes it hard to accept.

I lost my father in law to a heart attack in his sleep in February and it still seems unreal.

I hope it won't be too long before memories of him make you feel happy and smile, rather than sad.

    Thoughts with you
