Search missing some threads / posts?

last couple of days I've searched for a thread that I remembered and not found it ... today I repeated the search using Google and found what I wanted ...

For example search for:

Keywords = Leeks (I tried "Leek" as well)
Posted by Member = Kristen
Search in Forums = "All forums"
Search child forums as well = Ticked

It doesn't include this thread:
http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/leeks-musselburgh.50333/page-3#post-684016
for which the subject is "Leeks - Musselburgh"

I then picked an old tread
http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/olive-tree.23629/

and picked some reasonably unique keywords:
Devon Olive tree

and tried a search on them. No matches :(

 

I'm happy to use Google in the main - although it may not have indexes everything I suppose, and it won't reliably do posted-by, date range or specific forum.

Just in case folk not familiar with it this will restrict a Google search to just this site:

site:gardenerscorner.co.uk keyword1 keyword2 ...

It may just need an index rebuild or similar to fix it - he said hopefully!

Earlier searches, which previous failed, now work just find. Thanks RR, that should hopefully help newbies et al looking for stuff with the Search function
