I'm relatively inexperienced in gardening as have not had a garden to work with in years. I have planted some seeds in those seed trays which I am going to put out when April comes.

I have so far got three trays with

    Nasturtium
Passion Flower and one other plant I seem to have lost the packet too!!

Basically they will all be used for climbing trellis in the garden and firstly I hope these plants will do that?? I have grown nasturtium before but it was as more of a trailer out of a basket.

Anyway, the plants now are obviously outgrowing the little seed pods they are in so I am in a dilemma as to what to do. Obviously they cant yet be put outside in their permanent pots but is it worth replanting them in say a larger flower pot and giving them some support such as netting with a cane?

Will the nasturtiums be alright as at the moment they are on a high shelf and are simply growing over the side or will this cause a problem when I try to get them to shoot up on the trellis later?

Will moving them out of the seed pods into a bigger pot and then out into their main pot cause risk to the roots?

Any advice will be grateful - if I do use netting to support them how can I do this logically when they are still indoors??

You won't be able to put the nasturtiums out until maybe late april depending on your area and if its a sheltered position...slightest frost turns them into a mushy green mess [IMG]

so you will have to repot them and then the other problem is they will cling and twine around any supports or netting making it difficult to untangle them to move them out, it might be better to let them trail down until moving them out and if they get too long then nip the ends out which should make them eventually bushier=more flowers [IMG]
