Could be a touch to much water and/or a bit cold overnight.
Is your unheated greenhouse wrapped in bubble wrap?Lay off the water for a few days and try putting on a south facing window sill in the house.
I will have more than enough seedling to share mate dont fear its part of the fun when things go wrong, you are working with nature and even the experts dont always get that right let alone the likes of me and thee!:blue thumb:

        Hi Folly
I agree too wet and maybe to cold , you would be suprised how much water that the compost can hold , I mix in vermiculite with the seedling compost which I find helps, not all is lost and not bad for your first try , just leave them , is it cosmos ??
I am gutted as well as a snail or slug has eaten half a courgette I will be going in the greehouse with a torch later to catch the little :yikes:

It is tricky getting watering just right and I've had one or two of those little mushrooms growing amongst the seedlings on my kitchen windowsill, I wouldn't worry too much, the mushrooms die but the seedlings will survive.

Absolutely right. I've decided from now on to add sharp sand to my bought in compost. IMO, this will help to keep the compost 'open' and keep stagnation at bay.

Nick don't worry they should be okay, as everyone has said don't water them to much.
Try this to see if it's any help for both pots and trays. Lift them up and feel the difference in weight between a pot that's been watered and a pot that is totally dry, you'll learn to judge how much water they need by that. When going through my greenhouse that's what I do, particularly with trays. They might look dry on the surface but the weight will tell you there's water below. :)

Stand the pots on old newspapers for a couple of days.

It acts like blotting paper and draws excess water out of the compost.
Of course you need pots with drainage holes for this to work.

If its too warm as well as wet that is defo why you have mold. Trie turning the heater off and water with a sprayer to prevent seedling compost waterlogging :)
