sharpening wilkinson sword shears

    Hi theer, I'm looking to sharpen an old pair of w/s shears. Thing is I am not sure how to seperate the two arms. Please see the images attached to see if you can help me? Thanks!

    I wouldn't separate them at all. Also, why don't you email Wilkinson and ask them the best way to do it.

    I asked the manufacturers of my shears how to sharpen them and they told me just to use a sharpening stone by hand. It depends on how bad the blades are what type of stone you should use.
