    Yes, it's great to know that days will get a liitle longer now, just hope that snow keeps away! (sorry all those with sledges but I don't like it!) :eek:

    Yes indeed, for me spring becomes real after three triggers, 1) today, 2)New Years day and 3) the tips of daffodile new shoots showing above the soil surface. To reinforce it I buy daffodile buds in January to get that beautiful perfume - and watch for the first January flowers, of winter aconite and erica.
