    Good evening all,

I was hoping somebody would be able to help identify this plant that is growing in my neighbour's garden.

Also, is it a potential problem?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

@AC79 shouldn't pose any problem if it hangs on your side of the fence- :spinning: and when flowering smells lovely :)

          Thank you for your replies.

So do you both agree that it is Honeysuckle?

I was worried it was the dreaded Japanese Knotweed :frown:

Honeysuckle can be cut down to the ground if your concerned about it getting too big - it will regrow next year...but it's not a problem plant in the true sense of the word- very wildlife friendly in fact so a bonus :blue thumb:

                Yep, Honeysuckle, not knotweed :)

Shakespear refered to it as Woodbine.

Used to be able to buy 5 of them at a time - then they went up to 10 packs - too expensive !

Well, just to throw a spanner in the works, looks like Vinca (periwinkle) to me! Not a problem, good ground cover!

Tried them, but they were a bit rough on the old throat - I preferred Marlboro, Lucky Strike or JPS myself......
