    Hi all,

I have just moved into a new house and have a space for a greenhouse. I don't have a massive budget and noticed I can get polyurathane greenhouses cheaper. Does it make a big difference to the heat, growing etc?

Also if anyone has a second hand greenhouse available near South East London I would be happy to pay for one.

    Thanks

Dunno what your budget is, but I paid £400 for 30' x 10' aluminium glass greenhouse off eBay, smaller ones are cheaper, although not much as they are more desirable for most people - £100 - £200 for something up to 10' long. They come up on Freeserve too.

Try United Kingdom (UK) Freecycle Groups' Homepage there's quite often people looking to just get rid of them for nothing. Ebay quite often comes up with very cheap second-hand ones too, I've seen them go for pennies.
Both sources will be for you to dismantle and collect, but worthwhile for a really cheap or free solution.
If you have a choice I'd recommend some form of plastic as it's most less prone to damage, and if it does get hurt it will just crack rather than shatter everywhere.

Also look in your local Free Ads paper, I got mine for free when a non-gardening friend moved into a new house and they didn't want the greenhouse already there.
