My wife's into orchids, we've a display in our lounge.

But when they die off they get relegated to a widow sill in the kitchen to recover. Four of these are already showing new growth, but it'll be three months before they bloom.

In the meantime, we've these lilies...They're artificial!
        The candles are "remote controlled!"
Oh and some cheap roses from Tesco. But they're only good for a week.

Last year I managed to keep the Poinsettia going until June (must try harder) The Hyacinths were a cheapie job from Lidl, and I say daily prayers over the Orchid..... it has a new leaf, fingers crossed :)

Sorry, totally off topic but you've brought back very happy memories :dbgrtmb:
Anyway, poinsettia still in bloom? Well done, I've only ever known one person to keep them going this long:love30:
I'm quite jealous of the hyacinth though, one of my favourite flowers :spinning::thumbsup:

                    This might be of interest.

We've some "hanging baskets," in the hall.

I (carefully) drilled three holes in two thin walled ceramic pots and attached hanging basket chains to them. Then drilled two holes in the hall ceiling on the top floor, put long screw eyes through the ceiling into a couple of noggins I fixed between the rafters and attached long chains to the "baskets."

At the moment we've a couple of peace lilies in them, but we ring the changes. Unfortunately, they don't get too much light, just that which comes from the window on the side of the staircase.

I took these photos over Christmas. I have taken the lights down!

Hi @Doghouse Riley they do look nice where you've put them [IMG]....do false flower arrangement count in this thread [IMG]... as real plants don't like my home environment god knows why but they just die, so I have flowers arrangements instead :)
