Looks a bit like Leycesteria

 

Looks like Pheasant Berry, Leycesteria formosa.

 

Yep agree with the above, the one in the photo now carrying berries...

I agree too - also known as Himalayan honeysuckle, such an attractive flower. They keep appearing in all places in my garden.

 

I spotted it in some local woods about a week ago while walking with my dad. We both liked it but didn't know what it was. Now thanks to the power of GC, I do

Reading up on the RHS site about it, it looks like it will fit perfectly in my scheme for parts of the back garden too.

 

There's also a rather lovely golden leaf form;

Visted Chester Zoo earlier this year and they use the golden one a lot in their planting schemes, the mature specimens looked stunning .......after that I bought a lovely healthy young specimen...
