I found this pair under the cupboard when we moved in. Unfortunately, neither my partner or me are a size 11 and I have a pair anyway.

They look to have been hardly used, the soles look fairly clean and they don't smell too bad either. They're just a bit dusty after being in storage for a while

I would be happy to give these away or for an exchange of some kind of plant or a few packets of seeds. I just want them out of the house really. I would however ask that whoever wishes to takes these off my hands would be kind enough to pay for postage, or collect from Stanford Le Hope, Essex in person.

      Hi Jane

They're too small for me but if you are ever over our way you are welcome to some plants :dbgrtmb:. We're only about 30 minutes away near Sawbridgeworth (near the M11).

According to Google Map, you're well over an hour away! Thank you very much for your generosity though.

As usual, Google maps don't know what they are talking about :heehee: :D

We used to have friends in Stanford Le Hope and it only used to take about half an hour. It's 35 miles either down the M11 and M25 etc or through Chelmsford. On a day like a Sunday then travelling on the motorway is a doddle but during the busy week time it could take any length of time :yess:

Size 11, but my garden isn't that muddy that I'd need a pair!

No doubt the wellies have long since been transformed into planters now Jane, my farmer hubby is a size 11 and goes through a fair few pairs a year!!

It's amazing the amount of old stuff on here I'm finding....I'm nursing a big bandaged burnt hand at the moment and going out of my head with boredom!!

Well John, embarassing though it is, on Wednesday night, I tripped on the way upstairs whilst carrying a big double handled pan of hot water to top up the bath with...(thanks to our old inefficient boiler and our lack of money to replace it till we sell the bungalow where we moved from!) Tipped most of the contents on my left arm and then dropped the pan which emptied on the stairs and as I'd tripped onto my tummy, I slipped down through the water too.

Scalded my hand and wrist mainly. I ran it under cold water for ages and wrapped in cling film, all good so far...but having pulled off clothing to stop the scalding and as it was already after 11.30pm, I couldn't face getting dressed and going and sitting in Casualty in Leeds. Convinced hubby to let me go to bed and go and have it looked at at our local minor injuries in the morning.
Didn't think to remove my wedding ring, which they had to cut off next morning :(
Anyway, it's now been dressed a couple of times and seen by Plastics in Leeds, they decide Monday or Tuesday if it'll heal OK or if the bit over the thumb joint needs anything doing if it looks tight.

Just after the weather had improved here and I had a good bit of gardening booked up too. It'll all seem better when I can get rid of this high arm sling!!

Yikes! So sorry for you Julie. You did the right thing running it under cold water. Good luck on monday and I wish you a speedy recovery. Like you say it's come at the wrong time for the gardening calendar, but that can still wait a few more weeks :dbgrtmb:
