Did you know according to the RHS,slugs and snails are our number one pest.
One cubic metre of garden will be home to about 50 slugs.
A slug's tentacles can detect food from 3 Metres away.
Slugs have four noses and can sniff out four meals at the same time.
The average slug has 27.000 teeth...??? not on the NHS I hope. :(
Slugs leave a scent trail to find their way home.

Thought you all would like to know this :D :D

Rositu, have you seen the video that Hornbeam reminded us of recently:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/lifeintheundergrowth/video.shtml
Leopard slugs mating- strangely beautiful if you don't mind slime! I remember seeing it on tv ages ago and being amazed.
I didn't know those facts about slugs and snails, had always wondered how they found all the tastiest bits..... [IMG]
