For measuring soil PH the chemical litmus paper testers are probably best for amateur gardeners . I would think to get an accurate electronic tester you would need quite a dear one . From a couple of reports I think the cheaper ones are not accurate at all.
Maybe our fellow GCers have more experience of electronic testers.

Must soil test kits (wet ones) are ok for amater, if you want a accurate test you'll have to send some soil to a lab and get them to test it

If you know any good farmer that has his/her soil tested, see if they are willing to let you put in your sample , may cost about a tenner?

          Hiya WOO :)
I bought one of those electronic meters, and I'm pretty sure it was useless. I've used this one and seems pretty accurate

I used the Bosmere tester that Freddy used WOO . They also make a small two test pack for about £3 if you want to try it out first .

Hi Harry just received this email from Bosmere Products:smile:

                Dear Woo

Unfortunately, we are currently out of stock of this item and are in the process of trying to obtain new stocks but do not envisage this happening for some months.

You could try searching via the internet to see if any of our customers still have stock of this item - if you put Bosmere and K181 into your search engine then hopefully several options will come up for you.

We are sorry that we cannot be of any further assistance to you at this time.

                Kind regards

Now that is very suprising . You would think a low cost soil tester was a good seller.

Hi Woo, I've just used a kit from Botanico, which seems good, that a friend gave me. She bought it in the uk so you might be able to find that one :fingers crossed:
                :) :) :)
