something a little exotic

hiya. i've been a member for a while but don't think i have ever used the forum. i'm not a vastly experienced gardener. used to have a small plot and an allotment in exeter then moved to the midlands and now have a 60ft plot, which is solid clay :eek: (london brick would love it..) and i'm trying to build an exotic garden! look forward to chatting :D

Ola forcandles! There are several exotic folk here and walnut is one as well as Banana Man and pete and Strongy and others and ... I am naturally because of my climate but have to ask these guys for advice.

Best thing to do is have a look through these threads forcandles, and let me know what you like. Clay isn't a problem so long as you are willing to dig :D Anything is possible, it just takes a bit of lateral thinking to get there. :D

Hideout threads are best place to start but there are tree, bamboos and lots of other bits from my garden.

Hi Forcandles, I'm new too - just wanted to commiserate about digging on clay, my allotment was really clayey too. Looking on the bright side the digging is great exercise though (I suppose), and my veg seemed to do really well on it.
Love your user name - it's a two ronnies reference, I assume? :D I love that sketch!
