Thats exactly what they want you to do, so that you are paying them for the rest of your life.

I invented the Debit Card when I worked at Barclays. I suggested a Credit Card that your salary was paid into so that you could buy things with plastic and not have to pay mothly interest on.

I was told "Don't be so stupid Searchfield, how can we make any money on that?"

    :dunno:

That was the idea, instead of a credit card, you could access your salary with a bit of plastic but not get clobbered with interest/late payment fees each moth.

I just didn't think to call it a Debit card. If I had, I could have sued for theft of intelectual property.

What about pre-paid credit cards. They've nicked your idea.

I hate it when someone nicks your idea. When I was a teenager I had an idea to help bikers. Ordinary leathers would have gas pockets in them, and a small CO2 canister and rip cord would be fastened to the back of the waist line, and then clipped to the bike. In the event of an accident where you become detached from the bike, the rip cord would pull and the gas pockets would inflate, massively increasing the shock absorption of the leathers, thus potentially saving the biker's life.

I only told a few trusted people my idea, and the response was the same in all cases. Fits of laughter and jokes about inflated people bouncing down the road or floating away in the air like a balloon. So I took it no further. Then about a year or so ago, there was an article on the news about an entrepreneur who'd done exactly what I'd planned and was making a fortune.

      Life's a treetree at time:)

invent a system that automatically (instantly) tallies your shopping trolley groceries instead of scanning each item one at a time

        you will get rich
