Got me going on this lark of Herbs and flowers for bees.
Sowed Creeping purple Thyme, Hyssop, Lavender, Borage, Cornflower, Cosmos, as well as Honey bee mixed flower seed, Blue and Purple flower mix, and a Yellow and Orange flower mix. Hope that they do well not for looks but for those little critters which are needing at the moment. 20200516_193936.jpg

Herbs at different stages from fully potted back to not showing me heads yet.
Parsley is a new one to me, Sage is good, Mint easy, Rosemary so nice with Lamb.
New to me this time is the sowing of Hyssop, Borage, creeping thyme, Lavender from seed are all going to be a challenge.

Things are moving along nicely in the house. Hope to have some of these Herbs ready to go in the not to distant.

I had bad experiences with borage. They grew fine, the flowers were nice, and the bees liked them.

Trouble was, the blackflies also liked them. Sodding things turned out to be total aphid magnets. In the end I had to pull them up and bin them to get the blackfly under control.

Yours may be fine, but just a note of warning for something to watch for.

Soapy water as I do with my runners and this tends to deter the little critters. Thanks for the heads up though.

Another bed cleared by the good lady, and now filled with toms(late), wild flowers for bees to enjoy late in the season to help them through the winter period.

Well the Lavender has been on the back burner for 2-3 wks now and not even a show.
I shall leave it a little longer but I think it will be a cutting time soon and not a seed sowing one for these.
The Borage, creeping thyme, Hyssop and other seeds have all come good.
Looking forward to using in my cooking later on.
Borage flowers for the ice cube tray too.

Given up on the Lavender and moved towards edible herbs.
Borage coming alone lovely, Hyssop doing well and creeping thyme has shown interest.
Finally my son has taken delivery of his fuchsia cuttings that I done for him, after his dog set about eating all the ones they had over at his place.
